Enrollment Fee
A one-time $15 enrollment fee applies per class enrolled. This fee covers the technology platform for your class and is collected at the time of enrollment. It is not waived for hardship rate pricing. It is waived in full for all scholarship recipients (full and partial).

Six weeks of structured, rigorous academic writing instruction taught live in a small cohort. Scholars are trained directly in the Vanguard Method — a five-step argumentative writing framework anchored in real historical content. This is not a writing camp. This is preparation.

Eight Saturday sessions designed for rising 8th grade scholars preparing to navigate the high school application and placement process. Scholars leave with a strategic academic plan, stronger writing and communication skills, and the confidence to pursue competitive high school opportunities.

Academic Consultations and Assessments are booked directly through Ms. Merriweather’s scheduling calendar. Complete payment at booking and your intake form will be sent by email before your appointment. Scholar Intensive booking links are private and sent directly to families after the Assessment is complete.
PRIVATE 1-ON-1
Private sessions in reading, writing, ELA, or math through Algebra 1. Targeted skill intervention, academic recovery, or enrichment. Fridays by appointment. Limited availability.
New families begin with a $25 Academic Consultation and $50 Academic Assessment. After your Assessment, a private Scholar Intensive booking link will be sent directly to you. This protects the process and ensures availability for enrolled scholars.
SATURDAY BY APPOINTMENT
Ms. Merriweather evaluates reading, writing, and math through Algebra 1. Families receive a placement recommendation. Open to all families — not tied to Scholar Vanguard enrollment.

Monthly and weekly enrollment options are available for group classes and signature programs. These subscription rates are priced above the paid-in-full standard rate for a reason — and it protects both you and your scholar.
When you enroll on a monthly or weekly subscription, Ms. Merriweather holds your scholar’s seat, reserves session time, and prepares instruction around your schedule. The premium rate (15% above standard for monthly, 20% above standard for weekly) reflects that ongoing commitment on both sides. It ensures your scholar always has a seat and ensures Ms. Merriweather can plan with stability.
All monthly and weekly subscribers are required to keep a valid payment card on file. This card is stored securely and is charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. You will receive a notification before each charge. Subscriptions may be paused or cancelled with proper notice as outlined in the Terms of Service. No card on file is required for paid-in-full enrollment.
Scholar Vanguard is committed to access. Two forms of financial assistance are available depending on the program and your family’s situation.
GROUP CLASSES
A reduced hardship rate is available for group class enrollment for families with demonstrated financial need. To request the hardship rate, email hello@scholarsvanguard.com with your scholar’s name, the class you are enrolling in, and a brief description of your situation.
The $15 enrollment fee is not waived under the hardship rate. It is waived only for full and partial scholarship recipients.
SIGNATURE PROGRAMS & SCHOLAR INTENSIVES
Full and partial scholarships are available for signature programs and Scholar Intensive sessions. Scholarships are awarded through a formal application process. Full and partial scholarship recipients have the $15 enrollment fee waived.

The $50 Academic Assessment fee for Scholar Intensive intake is a separate cost and is not covered by scholarship unless specifically noted in your award.
