Scholar Vanguard offers elite small cohort classes, signature programs, and private Scholar Intensives for students in grades 1 through 12. All group classes are capped at 4 to 6 scholars. Placement is based on skill level. A one-time $15 enrollment fee per class applies at enrollment.
A six-week virtual program where scholars are trained directly in the Vanguard Method — a five-step argumentative writing framework designed by Ms. Merriweather and anchored in real historical content. One live ninety-minute session per week gives scholars time to apply, practice, and develop mastery between sessions. This is not a writing camp. This is structured, rigorous academic writing instruction taught in a small cohort.
An eight-session Saturday cohort designed specifically for rising 8th grade scholars preparing to navigate the high school application and placement process. Scholars leave this program with a strategic academic plan, stronger writing and communication skills, and the confidence to pursue competitive high school opportunities.
An eight-session Saturday cohort for high school scholars focused on academic writing, college readiness, and strategic academic positioning. Scholars build the writing, critical thinking, and communication skills required for high school success and college competitiveness.
A six-session virtual cohort for scholars in grades 7 through 10 who are ready to build leadership presence alongside academic excellence. Bridge Leadership combines academic skill development with structured leadership training: public speaking, debate foundations, strategic communication, and academic positioning. Scholars leave this program with a stronger voice, a clearer academic identity, and the skills to advocate for themselves in any room.
All classes meet weekly via Google Meet. Small cohort format — 4 to 6 scholars maximum per class. Classes run June 15 through August 21, 2026. No pre-enrollment consultation or assessment required. Enroll, pay, and attend.
Enrollment options: Monthly enrollment (preferred — 4 sessions per month) or weekly subscription (available at a premium rate to protect both scholar progress and program integrity). Subscriptions require a card on file.

Ninety minutes building the reading and writing skills required in rigorous coursework, standardized assessments, and college preparation. Close reading, analytical writing, and SAT/ACT preparation.
Targeted preparation for scholars taking Algebra 1 in the upcoming school year. Standards-aligned, course-specific readiness building covering variables, expressions, equations, and algebraic reasoning.
Ninety minutes building reading comprehension and writing skills for grades 6 through 8 scholars. Complex texts, structured writing, claim-evidence-explanation frameworks, and academic vocabulary.
Where storytelling meets the screen. Scholars learn the craft behind compelling narrative — from the written page to TikTok, skit, and short film.
Scholar Intensives are private, limited-availability sessions with Ms. Merriweather. These are not open enrollment. They are targeted, 1-on-1 academic work for scholars and families who require individualized attention. New families begin by booking a Google Calendar appointment. An intake form is sent after booking. An academic assessment ($50) is available for families who want a formal placement evaluation before beginning sessions.

Group class cancellation policy: Any class cancelled by Scholar Vanguard entitles each enrolled scholar to one free 30-minute Scholar Intensive session, to be used within 7 days. All program and enrollment policies are detailed in our Terms of Service.
